THE FOOT FETISH, WEIRD OR PERFECTLY NORMAL

One of the most common fetishes known to man is the "foot fetish," but is it really a fetish?

Back in 2006 a study was conducted where scientist studied the most associated words with "fetish," and the results were undeniable that the number one word found to be in conjunction was, "feet".

Most people who are sexually aroused by feet or anything associated with it, are men. But what does it really mean to have a "foot fetish?" Someone who has such a fetish needs the presence of someone's feet to reach orgasm. They cannot get aroused without a photograph, sock, shoe, or any other representation related to the feet.

Someone who finds feet or anything aligned with them, is actually known as foot partialist. Someone with a partialism will also be aroused by other body parts including lingerie, or anything other than the feet. However studies are limited because many people may not volunteer for studies or seek help since they don't deem their obsession with feet to be a problem due to the fact that it does not harm anyone or themselves.

For those who have a foot partialism there can be as many variations as there are people on the earth. Some like small feet, big feet, pretty-manicured toes, black socks, white socks, and some are turned on by engaging in intercourse while wearing different types of footwear. A high arch, high heels or boots may turn on person on, while for someone else, seeing a foot in an open toe shoe may have the same effect.

Exploring foot play can include stimulation of the genitals by the feet, toes or it may only include "worshiping" another person's feet by kissing, licking, washing or providing a pedicure. Some people may visit a dominatrix, or have their partner portray that role and develop a whole “scene” around feet or footwear.

Sometimes when a person does find feet, footwear or socks arousing, they are afraid to tell their partner or enjoy the experience of their arousal because they are worried they may have a “foot fetish” and be perceived by themselves or others as being weird or perverted. For them it can be just as nerve-wrecking to reveal to someone that you love sucking toes, as telling them that you have a sexually transmitted disease.

If you are trying to build something concrete with someone, you should share all of your fantasies as well as your partialisms to get the most out of your relationship. If that person is into you, they may be willing to give it a try, opening doors to a new world of pleasure.

There is nothing wrong with trying something once, and if you don't like it, you don't ever have to do it again. If nothing else, adding new stimulation, props or clothing (fishnets, stockings) to your sex life can be fun and break up the normal routine.

If someone shares with you their desire to experiment with foot play it is okay to make fun, as we often do of people with "foot partialisms", but keep in mind that to them this is something they take seriously, and you don't want to make them feel so uncomfortable that they regret sharing.

Feet are the most preferred non-traditional body part that causes sexual arousal! So go ahead and indulge in the sensations that can be felt while exploring "foot play." I've had the pleasure of having someone suck on my toes, and believe me it is worth a try. Seriously, if the guy in the photo above asked to suck on your toes, I bet you would try to stuff your entire foot down his throat...

I know I would.
