"Doing Too Much" was from Paula DeAnda's self-titled debut album. The first official release from the album was released in 2006, and became a minor hit within the Southwest parts of the country. The song peaked at #41 on the Billboard Hot 100, one spot shy of making it into the Top 40. Paula's debut album was released in the summer of that same year, charting at #54 on the Billboard Hot 200. In 2007 "Doing Too Much" was certified gold.
After Clive Davis left Arista's parent company, RCA Label Group in 2008 to become the Chief Officer for Sony BMG, DeAnda also parted ways with the label after her new single "Roll The Credits" failed to chart, with the project being shelved. Paula released a well-received remix of rapper Drake's "Marvin's Room," entitled "Paula's Room."
Last year it was reported that she was working on a mixtape, but since then nothing has been heard from the aspiring Billboard diva. With such an amazing talent, it'd be lovely to see the 23 year-old get another shot at claiming the top spot she surely deserves.
