2013 has been a kind year for the blue eyed gentlemen of soul. Justin Timberlake continues to dominate the charts with every release from his platinum-selling album The 20/20 Experience, while Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" has led the Hot 100 for its' 10th consecutive week, earning him his first number one album on the Billboard 200.
Now Jesse McCartney and his falsetto have reemerged with a brand new tune "Back Together." The 80's infused track which boasts influences from Michael Jackson, Prince and of course J.T., was originally written by McCartney for another group.
“I got in the studio with this amazing group of producers called The Eleven as well as Nash and Ryan from Hot Chelle Rae," said the 26 year-old. "We were writing this song and originally it was for their record. Halfway through the process, I was like, ‘Hey, you think I could have this one?’”
McCartney added, “We had just finished a song for them and I was like, ‘Hey, this was two in a row. Gimme one.’ So I ended up cutting it.”
Currently on tour with the Backstreet Boys, he managed to stop by the TODAY show on Wednesday to perform the irresistible tune for his fans.
Continue reading to listen to "Back Together," as well as to watch his live debut of the track. I love McCartney, therefore I am extremely excited about his forthcoming LP.
