The-Dream announced his retirement, and so did Jay-Z, only to release several projects afterwards.
24 year-old singer Chris Brown turned himself in for a hit-and-run case, this past week after denying he did anything wrong. In May the troubled star was involved in a minor accident after he rear-ended a Mercedes, and allegedly refused to provide his driver's license number and gave false insurance information before leaving the scene. According to Brown:
45-minutes after turning himself in Brown was released on his own recognizance. The "Fine China" singer who has tarnished a career that was supposed to follow the late Michael Jacksons' took to Twitter to reveal that he's tired of being famous for the wrong reasons, hinting at a possible retirement.

Is this dude an idiot? If people continued to bring up a lesser known Ike Turner for whooping Tina Turner's ass, why does he think it'd be any different for him? It's not only that, but how many countless incidents has he been involved in since the domestic abuse case?
In March of 2011 he flew into a rage and broke a window at the studio of Good Morning America after being asked a question about Rihanna. All of 2012 he was in an ongoing feud with Frank Ocean which lead to a physical altercation and accusations of homophobic slurs. In February he was facing robbery charges, snatching a fans' phone after she snapped a photo of the singer. That same month he got into a heated exchange of words with Country music sensation Miranda Lambert. In June he was involved in a physical altercation with rapper Drake, which resulted in people being injured and several lawsuits. Later that year in October he failed a random drug test, testing positive for marijuana use. In November he got into aserious Twitter feud with Jenny Johnson, calling her a "hoe," and posting, "I should fart while ur giving me top." This year he cursed out valet for a $10 charge, when he makes millions...How many chances does one person need?
His antics became so bad that Billboard penned an open letter to him, calling for him to get his act together:
If he had taken the the proper amount of time away from Hollywood and focused on his demons, he may have received a warmer embrace from the public. On one hand he's begging everyone not to judge him, blaming his bad behavior on his age, and then the next he's getting into brawls and blasting it all over Twitter.
His age is no excuse, and I hope he isn't expecting any sympathy from his claims of a "retirement." He has consistently given the media what they want, taken this "bad boy" image and ran with it. Maybe he should take an extended break. Deal with his issues, get off whatever he's smoking, ditch the bad influences he calls his entourage, and come back with a clear head.
Although I'm sure this is just another Twitter rant, and if it isn't, X maybe his last album, but I'm sure he'll continue to release free music, he has other business ventures that can aide in him attaining his wealth.

According to Brown:
"She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures," he tweeted. "I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene." He concluded, "It's not a hit and run if you get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous."Of course Brown wasn't done, as he took to his public diary, Twitter to address the media's scrutiny of him:
"19-24 years of age. I don't have all the answers and you can't show me a person that age who has it figured out. We live and grow. Let me live. I work my ass off to provide for my entire family. I've made mistakes in the past and have worked hard to be a better person."Brown showed up at Van Nuys jail in Los Angeles, California on Monday afternoon (Aug. 5)--a day before he was to report. Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos allegedly set up the ordeal so photographers conveniently were not present.

Does Chris Brown really expect the public to forget his domestic abuse case with Rihanna when this image is everywhere |

His antics became so bad that Billboard penned an open letter to him, calling for him to get his act together:
"One minute you're crying at the closing of a Michael Jackson tribute at the 2010 BET Music Awards and the next you're throwing chairs out the "Good Morning America" window. One minute you're grabbing your first Grammy for your first No. 1 album. The next you're cursing everybody and their mothers on Twitter AND reportedly saying it was someone who controls your tweets. Really?"
"You can't get mad at us for not forgetting. It happened, it's written. But when you get aggressive and act out, what do you think people are going to reference? For every person that is waiting for your fall, there are those cheering for you to win, but it's hard for those who want you to thrive because when you take one step forward, you inevitably take two steps back."[SOURCE]Brown has repeatedly made immature and downright idiotic decisions since his 2009 assault against Rihanna and because of that, the talent he possesses has been muted by the chatter of the media.
